The 1762-L24BXB is an AB MicroLogix controller. This controller is ideally used for micro and small automation requirements. This controller is of a compact type controller, provided with comprehensive range of I/O channels such as Ten (10) standard 24VDC inputs, Four (4) Fast 24VDC inputs, Five (5) relay, Four (4) 24VDC FET and One (1) high-speed output. These I/O channels enable this controller to be used in general purpose and some specific applications such as counting, totalizing and position monitoring.
The 1762-L24BXB has a built-in power supply that operates with a nominal input supply voltage of 24VDC. It comes with a mini-DIN 8 pin circular RS232 connector that is installed on the controller's front panel that may be used for most communication functions, specifically, programming, hardware configuration, online edits and communication with visualization systems such as Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and human Machine Interface (HMI). The 1762-L24BXB is designed to withstand an inrush current of 15A for 20 ms. The embedded power supply provides output current of 400 mA at 5VDC and 350 mA at 24VDC with power supply usage of 27 Watts. This controller must be operated at operating temperature range of +0°C to +55°C (+32°F to +131°F) or stored at a facility with -40°C to +85°C (-40°F to +185°F) at 5-95% relative humidity.

This equipment is designed for use in an industrial enclosure which reduces the effects of electrical interference and environmental exposure. Install this device as far as possible from load lines, power lines, relays, AC motor drives, and other electrical noise. The 1762-L24BXB has different specifications than other controller modules. Its heat dissipation is 17 Watts and its power supply inrush current is 15 Amps for 20 milliseconds at 24 Volts DC. The power supply usage of the 1762-L24BXB is 27 Watts. The output circuit type of this module are both Relay and FET type. The input circuit type is 24 Volts DC sink or source. This module has no sensor power output. The minimum output load current is 10 mA, the common current per group is 7.5 Amps, and the power supply output of the 1762-L24BXB is 400 mA at 5 Volts DC and 350 mA at 24 Volts DC.
