The IC200ALG328 module is a Versamax I/O module that has been designed and manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation. This particular module provides 12 outputs. These outputs are the analog current-sourcing types of outputs and they can operate within a current range of 4 to 20 milliamps. The module comes with 20.38 milliamps of current per channel to drive the output loads, although the channels require an external power supply so they can operate properly. The channels of the GE Fanuc Automation IC200ALG328 Versamax I/O module can be scaled with the channels from the IC200ALG326 module since the characteristics are similar and compatible. The module is also compatible with the Ethernet, Genius, Profibus, and DeviceNet firmware. It is also compatible with the PLC CPU firmware and the VersaPro software.
The GE Fanuc Automation IC200ALG328 Versamax I/O module has thermal derating only when it is being used at 30 Volts DC and placed in a certain position on the DIN rail. This derating will also depend on the ambient air temperature that is present. The GE Fanuc Automation IC200ALG328 Versamax I/O module has a voltage rating of 18 to 30 Volts DC and current consumption rating of 2 Amps of inrush current and a consumption rating of 100 milliamps when there are no loads and one of 270 milliamps when using all 12 outputs at full scale. The resolution of the module is 13 bits and the accuracy rating reaches up to 1 percent. The module comes with 2 LED indicators and with diagnostic tools and it can be hot-inserted, but this needs to be done carefully to preserve all the components in both the rack and the module.
