PanelView Plus 7 Performance Terminals

The 2711P-RP9D is an accessory component of PanelView Plus 6 700-1500 graphic operator terminals. This component is specifically a Logic module, which is used to replace an existing logic module of an operator terminals.

The 2711P-RP9D may only be used with the PanelView Plus 6 700-1500 product range as these PanelView models are the scalable models. Any PanelView hardware, including the PanelView Plus 6 400-600 comes with a logic module however, the latter model's logic module is not removable.

Logic module hosts the major circuitry of the operator terminal. It hosts the input power circuitry, communication interfaces, memory modules, processor and data storage. Specifically, it hosts the USB, Ethernet and RS232 communication interface as well as the insertion port for the additional PanelView communication adapter. The integrated memory size amounts to 512 MB Random Access Memory (RAM) and 512 MB Non-volatile memory with 79 MB approximately free-user memory. The nominal supply voltage to wire to this logic module is 24VDC with voltage range of 18-32VDC.

The 2711P-RP9D DC PanelView Logic Module includes extended features and file viewers all along with a DC isolated input power. The 2711P-RP9D DC PanelView Logic Module is an accessory that can be acquired and installed in order to enhance  PanelView Terminal communications. This module promotes communications that take place directly between the PanelView unit and the rest of the equipment connected to it, and this ability provides for more than one communication form for the device to use. It is important to install the module in a location where it will not be in contact with any kind of liquids and corrosive material.

PanelVie Plus 7 Introduction

The PanelView™ Plus 7 Performance terminals are operator interface devices. They monitor and control devices that are attached to ControlLogix® and CompactLogix™ 5370 controllers on an EtherNet/IP™ network. Animated graphic and text displays provide operators a view into the operating state of a machine or process. Operators interact with the control system by using touch screen or keypad input.
The PanelView Plus 7 Performance terminals include these features and capabilities:
• FactoryTalk® View Machine Edition software provides a familiar environment for creating HMI applications
• Connection to ControlLogix or CompactLogix 5370 controllers
• Ethernet communication that can support Device Level Ring (DLR), linear, or star network topologies
• Web browser, Microsoft® file viewers, text editor, PDF viewer, remote desktop connection, and media player on the terminal desktop
• Conformal-coating available for all DC power, touch-only terminals, and the 15-in. DC power, keypad and touch terminal
• Stainless steel, hygienic, brandless, DC-power, and conformal-coating are available for the 9-in. wide-screen, touch-only units and the 12-in. wide-screen, touch-only units
• On-machine mounting available for the 12.1-in. wide-screen, touch-only terminal
